⚠ Honestly: mild, faintly sweet, soft/mealy "pudding-berry" — pleasant but bland fresh; better cooked into jam or pudding. Grown as much as a groundcover as for fruit. Unripe berries may cause mild stomach upset; pulp and stone are hard to separate.
